so anybody who knows me knows how much i love orange. i have no idea where this obsession came from but i can recall the time i bought my first outrageously orange item of clothing. i believe i was in 6th or 7th grade and at the time, i was really into limited too. i mean... what young girl at the tender age of 11 doesn't love the bright glittery attraction that is limited too? anywhooo... was shopping in limited too with my mother when i saw these bright ass orange weather proof sweat pants. now, i have always been a pretty big tomboy and in middle school, my wardrobe consisted of many a pair or weather proof sweatpants, sweatshirts, and the occasional jean. these orange sweats just stood out to me and i loved them. i think i probably loved them a little bit more when people commented on them. not sure if they said something out of love or hate, but either way, i took it. i wore those pants to death (and now that i think about it, i wonder if theyre in my closet at home somewhere). and that, ladies and gents, was the first orange item.
ever since then... ive been almost obsessed with anything orange. anytime i go to any store, and spot something in even the slightest tint of orange, i go to it just to see what it is. not only do i buy clothes, but i have an orange couch, i have an orange trashcan, orange sheets, orange towels, orange-themed gmail account... i dont know what it is about the color but it is what it is and i'm happy to have it around me.
reason for the post: decided to change the layout of my blog a little bit. partly because im kind of bored (waiting for top chef to come on) and partly because i've had the same layout for so long and wanted to change it up a bit. whatever the reason, i obviously went to the orange option that blogspot had and i think my little blog here looks amazing :o) along with my desire to better my professional website over the summer, i think i may spend a little bit more time on this one as well. make it look decently legit. maybe then people will want to actually read what i'm saying. like in life... it's what's on the outside that matters.
is that how the saying goes? :o)
