its crazy what judgments one can make from a facebook page. you can let your friends, or strangers, see exactly what you want them to see and therefore you portray yourself exactly how you want to be portrayed. that, in itself, is mind boggling. however, it is not the reason for this post. looking through people's pages, i can't help but think how times have changed and how people have changed. yes... some people are just as attractive as they used to be (and some are WAY hotter), but what's crazier is where they're going in their lives, if they are even going anywhere, and what they're doing. i'm sure when people look at my facebook page they are probably thinking or think somewhat the same things as me, but i often think about how people are living such adventurous, high energy lives and i'm kind of... not. it's not that my life is any worse or their lives are any better. but i often have this sense of, i should be doing something. anyone else? and back to the first point that people put out what they want others to see... so it might entirely be the case that people are not really doing all these things all the time and are in fact, as boring as i am. but the fact that they put that image out there is something to think about.

power of facebook.
its amazing what this site can do to a person. not just the electronic technical capabilities... im not talking about that. im more so talking about the fact that i've been looking at people's sites for the past, say, 30-40 minutes and it has turned into an unwarranted moment of self reflection. i dont know how it started, but i was just browsing (like everyone does) through people's facebook pages. there was a random update on the news feed which led me to look at their post and pictures, etc etc. that then turned into, "o let me see what mutual friends we have..." which turned into, "let's look at what mutual friends we have friend high school..." which finally turned into "let's look at mutual friends from high school whose lives i don't know anything about anymore."
